HEADIES 2016 AWARDS: Kiss Daniel, Darey, Olamide, Illbliss, win big, see Full Winners List
                        KISS DANIEL

The Headies 2016 aired live at Eko Convention Centre in Lagos on December 22, hosted by Falz and Adesua Etomi.

Kiss Daniel was the biggest winner of the night with three wins: Best R&B/Pop album, Hip Hop World Revelation and Album of the Year for New Era.

Darey, Olamide, Illbliss and Simi follow with two awards each.

Wizkid won the award for Artiste of the Year and he showed up at the venue to pick his award.

Petite singer Simi won the Best Collabo and Best Vocal Performance (Female) awards at the Headies awards.
However she was unable to go on stage to receive the first award despite being at the venue of the ceremony.

Turns out it was due to an issue with her dress, but she made it up for it when she came on stage to receive the second award she got on the night.

The 2016 Headies began late yet again. The Headies is the most prestigious award show but still seems to have issues with starting on time. The 11th edition was billed to start by 7 p.m. but did not begin until 10 p.m.

That observance of ‘African time’ ended up evoking feelings of derision among many who stayed up to witness it.

Kcee and Harrysong made up on the Headies stage. Five Star Music singer, Kcee announced on the Headies stage that he and former label mate, Harrysong have settled their difference.

In his words while on stage to receive the Best Pop Single award with Harrysong for ‘Reggae Blues‘, ‘We been dey fight, but it is all settled.’

Kcee and Harrysong collaborated on the hit song as well as on ‘Baba for the Girls‘ before Harrysong left Five Star Music in November.

But do you believe they really have settled their rift or was it just an act for the cameras?

Here are the winners in all 21 categories which covers different genres of Nigerian pop music culture.
